I river ak100 media player
20 May 2013 - 08:26 PM
Ok boys and girls. As part of my SQ system, I'm looking at the I river AK100 media player. Being 24bit-192 kHz I'm thinking it may be an ideal iPod replacement. http://www.iriverinc...ew.asp?pn=ak100

Advice on 3 way tuning.
14 January 2013 - 04:12 PM
As the title says I'm after a little advice of where to set my cross overs and slopes. This being my first active 3 way, I'm getting a little over whelmed. So what I have is. Alpine PXA-H800, tweeters are Scanspeak R3004/6020 00, mids are Vifa NE95W-04 3" wide bands and mid woofers are 6.5" from my previous alpine SPX-17REF. I have a far idea of crossover points, but where I'm getting confused and falling over is with slopes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Tim.
3 way front stage.

Ok men of MEA, I'm in the planning stages of my 3 way front stage and need some opinions. What I'm looking at at the moment is retaining the 6.5 mid bass from my SPX-17ref for now until I decide whether I'm going to go 8" or not. These are in the factory position in my deadened VT Calais doors. For mid range I'm looking at Tang Band TB-w3-1318sa 3" full range, mounted on axis up in the factory tweeter location in the dash. And for the tweeters, this is where I'm a little indecisive. Do I retain the tweeters from my SPX-17ref or do I use some vifa D25AG-35-06 (which I already have sitting on a shelf in the garage) or do I use something else? These will be mounted either on sail panels or A pillar trims. These will all be running active from my H800 with 170wrms @4ohms for midbass and 125wrms @4ohms for midrange and tweeters.
