in car digital Tv receiver digital set top box for cars, anyone used them?

directed also has one and is quite good too. the car ones do have a better buffering system.
iv done set top box with inverter, not good in any waywithout a massive antenna and also hated having to point the remote under the seat. also had a telefunken 12v caravan one with 4 bar viscom boosted antenna and that was ok depending where you were. stopped, all channels perfect.
just for reference that zylux is the old one now. there is a new one (have it at work) and has usb reord function.
just put a usb stick in and record at will. its called CARTV-iQ. havent sold one or seen it used yet though. module looks basically the same as the last one.

You can get in bumper antennas (they go in the bumper bars and are concealed) that tend to perform better than the on glass ones anyway. :)
Not a waste of money if you can get it to work and you want it, the value that you place on something may not be the same as the value another puts on it...
Simply put, one man can wear a Timex watch and be happy with it's performance... it is likely to keep time better than a $200,000 Patek Philippe but for some people there is no other option but the Patek Philippe ;)
