G'day all

I'm looking for a spot of help in deciding what sort of 6' (the circle ones) speakers i should buy with my current setup. They will be going in the two front doors of my civic hatch (97).

I currently have this head unit

And these 6x9's
http://www.productwi...udio-tr690-txi/

I'm trying to figure out which 6' circly speakers are best for me - if you have any advice.

Right now all the speakers in the car are factory, with an aftermarket head unit that will be replaced with the kenwood when everything gets installed.

I don't want to buy anything that will be limited by my head unit, as i will probably never upgrade it, so if you have advice on any particular speakers, or just general information ie, i should maker sure the ones i buy are '40W RMS constant' or something like that, it'd be greatly appreciated! http://www.caraudio.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

Thanks!

Micro Precision 'Z Series' - $14,880

or perhaps Morel 'Maximo 6' - $139

ie, we need a budget before we can really give you any recommendations.
Also, do you want coaxials or components ('splits')? (if you are not aware of the differences, see this)

Ahaha, probably more the Morel

$140 would probably be as high as i'd like to go, i'm not a big audiophile, i just want something that sounds nice.

Coaxials is probably the way i'd go too, i've just got the one speaker in the door panel.

EDIT for Damo: I listen to most everything, Jazz, Hip-Hop, RnB, Classical, Folk, Rock, Electro, Alternative, Funk, Blues, most everything.

realistically at $140, you're really not getting anything special

From some of the more specialist brands, perhaps;
Morel 'Tempo Coax 6'
Boston Acoustics 'S65'
Hertz 'DCX165.1'
DSL '226'
Diamond Audio 'D161.5i'

Or go to your local JB/Strathies/Autobarn and choose one of the 'cookie-cutter' brands - Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, JVC, Kicker

Hertz 'DCX165.1' ftw at your price, if you can save a little more a set of option audio 6" splits for 220.00 will rock your socks.... and your passengers they are bloody great for their price
