It's funny... I was only recently discussing with mates how we never see any Fosters locally (NSW North Coast) apart from the Light Ice.

When we're not drinking our individual spirits, it's usually either Stella, Tooheys (Pils, Extra dry or New), or regular Carlton.

And I'm surprised no one's brought up XXXX yet.

TED's is now the only Aussie beer i will by for myself. Pils also goes down fairly well, but couldnt drink it all the time.

Pure Blonde is growing on me..

But if i'm buying beer and i've got half a choice in the matter its hefeweizen every time. Weihenstephaner or is also a great brew .. but fairly hard to find.

And now for something different:

The General Managers of Cascade Brewery (Tasmania), Tooheys (New South
Wales), XXXX (Queensland) and Carlton (Victoria) were at an
International beer conference.

They decide to all go to lunch together and the waitress asks what they
want to drink.

The GM of Tooheys says without hesitation "I'll have a Tooheys New."

The GM of Cascade smiles and says "I'll have a Cascade Draught, brewed
from pure mountain water!"

The GM of XXXX proudly says "I'll have a XXXX Gold, the King of Beers!"

The bloke from Carlton glances at his lunch mates and says, "I'll have a
diet coke."

The others look at him like he has sprouted a new head.

He just shrugs and says, "Well if you blokes aren't drinking beer, then
neither will I."

bahahahhaha i love it :D
QUOTE (RMA @ Feb 6 2010, 01:22 AM) My only regrets are:
Selling Fudd an amp (for a fraction of the real price) that had been returned by Autobarn Geelong which had been incorrectly used by AB Geelong and turned out to be faulty when Fudd started using it.

Whilst he was given a new amp after it could not be fixed, he never acknowledged any of the assistance given and bitches to this day about it.

I have never liked beer... VB and Crownies taste the same to me. Don't like Draught either. Only recently I was given a Asahi (Japanese) and it tasted ok, but only because it tastes like every other beer, but watered down.

I'm worried about your friends Komodo.....  Rob, in answer to your original question, I've never had it - only had VB/Draught/Crownies from CUB. As a regular beer, I choose Crownies - But am working my way through the nations of beer. I've been to the USA with Miller and Bud, Asia with Elephant, Tiger, and Asahi, and Europe with Grolsch, Stella, Jamaica with red stripe...

OK, fosters, its been a long time. Crownies, taste like ass. Coronas, sol, or anything advertised with a lemon sticking out of it - chicks drink.

My fav domestic (non-boutique) beer is undoubtedly Carlton draught on tap.

Cascade Pemium and Boags Premium get a HUGE thumbs up. Those Taswegians look like they've got something right ;)

But then again, try a real beer gentlemen - James Squire Pilsener. You'll never look back.

:)

after drinking carlton Draught at Rob's earlier last year, it's my favourite economy beer. about 6-9months ago it became widely available in NSW too which is great :)
melbourne bitter is horrid, crownies are nice, haven't had fosters for along time.
tiger beer is probably my favourite imported, but i don't mind stella, or coronas either.

Go the James Squire Pilsner. :D
One tasty beer.
Other than that I only really drink Carlton Draught, which is best on tap.
