But with the help of a few people, I had my car tuned nicely,
The day went smoothly without a hitch, thanks to the planning of the FHRX Crew, who ever was cooking the sausages, a BIG Thank you as it was the only thing keeping me alive with only 3 hours sleep.
Judging at this round was more strict and feedback was excellent, but it never seems to amaze me that I get one issue fixed and another few crop up.
anyway it was a good result all round
Congratulations to Jono for 1st place, but what i would like to know is what happened the the Rainbow Brothers (Antony and Blake)
Cannot wait to see the pics that were taken
Only downside is that i needed to wait till near the end to have my car judged, if only there was a way of speeding it up

The person cooking the lunch just happened to be my wife Christie. Thanks babe. :D :D
I'll get the photos up ASAP and I'll forward the results onto Marc so he can update the leaderboard.

Was great nabbing those undercover tables and such.
Had lots of fun, setting up the car with a lot of weird looks hehe but was worth while. Cept me having wet shoes, URGH so uncomfortable!!!!
Round 3, not sure what date that owuld be as we are now like 3 weeks infront of VIC.
Was very happy with the audio result, looking forward to a few more tweaks. Ill upload pictures later on
Congrats to all the winners,
Cheers

sure shocked alot of people with the fact i was running stock 4s :P
next round should be fun indeed...alot of people shocked at the difference in scores from last round, but as everyone was informed, the judging was done slightly different this round, so dont compare rd 1 and 2, wait, and compare 2 and 3...
well done jono, on the 1st place, that should keep you up the pointy end
:good:
thanks to Marty and the rest of the FHRX guys for a great day

Thanks to Marty and all the judges, to Christy the fantastic cook, and to everyone for coming. If things keep going this well NSW will be a serious force to be reconded with at nationals.

With a little help from Nath last night, I managed to get my new boot floor and amp racks in and the basic wiring arranged... but after hours of working in the cold, darknessI still knew there were was little chance that i'd have my system up and running in time to be judged.
Before I arrived, I made up my mind that I would do whatever it took to get my system up and running and in a state worthy of competition. It took three hours of non stop breaking my back in the rain (again), but there was nothing more satisfying then the feeling when that final key was turned, and there was sound!
I didn't get to properly set up the sub, and also found out later that my L/R mid-bass drivers were reversed - but to be honest I was just so happy that all of the hard work proved worth it in the end. Today marked the first day in about two years that I've had a complete system fully functioning in my car, and it was great to know that despite the tougher judging I improved significantly over my round 1 score and position.
Even in raw tune my car was sounding quite good, and I have to give full credit to the other guys who competed - there was some seriously good sounding cars.
It's absolute great to see NSW really making a huge move in the right direction, and a lot of that should be credited to the organisers and helpers - it was much appreciated.
I have to say always that it was great to see the judges really clamp down much tighter this time around. I was given some good feedback from both judges and competitors and have since made a couple of significant improvements to the car.
On the whole it was cloudy and raining, and i was running off one sausage and 2 1/2 hours of sleep all day - but it was still the most enjoyable event for me so far.
Cheers to all who made it that way, and with luck we will have ourseves some serious representatives for the nationals.

Thanks for the great sausages Christie, I think I ate like 8 of them...
Also thanks to Marty and his crew for running such a slick comp in such ordinary conditions, and helping to make CAASQ NSW such a great event to attend.
Looking forward to the next one!! If I can get the changes I need done in time should be interesting..
