well.....it's available through the CAA webstore!!!

that's where people are sourcing it from. it's supplied by fellow CAA Member, Gifford, and as with all webstore purchases, proceeds go towards maintaining the club/website.

so, you may be a bit stuck otherwise finding it. if you are concerned about online credit card security, then you can pay by postal order. you should have no concerns about reliability of the service (within the humanly reasonable constraints of marc rushton processing the sales! ).

failing this, email marc to discuss possibility of alternative arrangements. but i can't see this as necessary.

as for jaycar brownbread. it's pretty good too. i've used a combo of flashtac (roofing tape), brownbread, serenity max, G-spot paint, and dynamat xtreme in my car. for not good reason other than to try the different ones.

brownbread is very easy to apply, and of very similar make to flashtac too. serenity max is less maleable but also very easy to apply. dynamat is probably more maleable than brownbread, and when covering contoured surfaces, is a little harder to apply (coz it's more floppy and very sticky!). so in terms of ease of application: serenity max (easiest), brownbread/flashtac, dynamat xtreme (least easy).

for quality and effectiveness.....too hard to say coz it's nye impossible to do back to back comparisons. but, serenity max is 'weightier' than brownbread, so for this reason it may be better. and it's also similarly good value if not better.

dynamat is allegedly better, but personally i will use more serenity max if i need to coz i think it's better value, with the bonus of being much easier to apply.

hope this helps.

my two 12" subs used to rattle my rear shelf badly. so i applied Brownbread, and also the Jaycar barium-matt (which i had to glue on myself) - no more deck rattling

that said, flashtac is what i use now as its almost identical to brownbread but cheaper to buy.

also, just picked up a jar of Gifford's brush-on Sound Dead paint, as i have one or two areas i need to 'kill' so look forward to giving it a try! (but from the weight of the jar and the thickness of the paint, this stuff looks HARDKAW!)
