just wondering if anyone has had some 1st hand experience with U-dimensions amps, either model, although im considering the pro series in particular.

i was thinking of a mono amp for 2 S10L7s, and a 4 channel for boston pro splits (6.5x for front stage, 5.5x for rear).

what is the word on how good these amps are, i know they are good but what sound signature do they have, n will they suit my plans with a high level of SQ???

thanks for any help, daniel...

I cant speak for the pro series.. but the forte series is really sweet SQ wise..
they are my current choice for powering the front stage of my car.. i still havn't heard anything better.. the only amps that im yet to get a good listen of is..

tube driver blue
McIntosh
Audison (Vrx series only)

although.. as good as the u-demensions are.. you have to find somthing that will match and compliment your splits.. the only reason i found the u-dimention series was because im looking at buying focal uptopias for the front.. and focals US demo car used all u-demension amps (the focals sound awesome through u-demension, bostons might not.. ya never know)

supposedly u-demension make a good monoblock amp as well.. but i think there more of a front end stage amp maker than a sub amp maker... hope this helps

the u-dimension pro series are excellent value for money

they do make a monobloc amp, the older one was rated a 800Wx1 at 1ohm, but i'm pretty sure the newer model is rated somewhere around 2kW (perfect for 2 L7's)

their sound is something like a cross between the DLS reference series and xtant x series. they are very nice sounding amps and should sound great on your bostons

i would also recommend the pro10.4 as a 4 channel (rated at 105W x 4 at 4ohms), i think this amp retails somewhere around the 800 mark

i can only really recommend you go out and find someone who stocks u-dimension and listen to them yourself as everyone's hearing is different and what sounds good to me may not to you

on the flipside european focal demo cars use audison amplifiers, the link i have drawn is that elletromedia distribute focal in italy (i think thats right, check with phil)

the 2001 IASCA world champion (pro class, held in the US), the frenchie with the peugeot was running all focal with audison VRx amps

just something to think about...
