I finally got off my lazy butt and bothered to mess around with my new front stage .
Consists of RF Series 1 tweets, RF Punch mid & SoundStream Exact woofers. I resisted the temptation to lower the Xover frequency on the mid and I'm glad I did. These babies sound smooth as silk and very natural.
The RF's are a 4" split pair and came with their own passive Xovers, so I'm running those on their own channels on a 4 chan amp. The SoundStreams will be run on the other two channels using an active Xover.

One of these days I'll have to actually fit them

how much work is involved in permanently mounting them in the magna? never an easy thing, 3-way setups.

I'm trying something different with the front stage.. 1", 3.5", 5.25". There's room for 8" later on if the 5.25" is too small .
As for fitting, the doors will flush mount a deep 7" woofer without a problem, and 8"s with a pod. The mids & tweets are the pain, I'll be building fibreglass pods for them. Mids are deep (2.5") and the tweeters don't have mounts.. I'll work something out.

Only downer is the amp will be a Clarion VNET450 'cos I cant justify the cost of a new 4 chan SQ oriented amp.. By-passing the internal Xovers should help.

I just spent over $1k getting the old tart running again, I won't be selling it for a while . We're considering selling the Festiva again tho..

Will get some pix once I've got the pods made, only have the baffles for now. All the goodies are waiting, extra pair of Musica RCA's, splitters, fibreglassing kit, SD & velvetine for trimming.

Going to make raised rear pods for the new rear fill.. flush mounted the 6"x9"s again to see what it sounded like and the stage height dropped from just above the dash to the vents in the dash, thats about 3"s lost
