ok i have a problem i have 2X 12 inch fusion
spec's are
fjl1211
Distributer:Fusion
12" Jonah Lomu Subwoofer - 1300 watts - 300 oz Magnet Structure - 3" Black Alloy DVC Voice Coil - Impedence 4 Ohm - Free Space Res: 28Hz - Efficiency 89dB - Frequency Response 21Hz to 1.2KHz
and i have a fusion powerplant 1404 amp rated at 100 rms each channel and its a 4 channel, i'm running each channel into each coil, is that right so far but it sounds **** like not loud enough i got told to make the box as big as i can and i did can some one please help me the box is not ported but is partition, my one jaycr vemon's runing 80RMS sounds better than this!

it's quite possible the amp is no where near powerful enough for those subs.

i don't know much about fusion stuff. maybe you can find some more specs:
*RMS power handling of subs
*Qts, Vas specs of subs (presumable Fs is 28Hz)
*size of the box you're using
*car and position of box

is this a permanent amp for them? coz it doesn't sound ideal; it's not capable of producing its best power output when each channel runs at 4ohm (instead of 2ohm).

are the gains set properly?

you mean you have one channel of each of the 4 on the amp going to one voice coil of each of the 2 subs? you'd have to be real careful how you set that up, plus as shiny suggested 100rms is nowhere near enough for those subs

thats no way near big enough! the reason the jaycar sub sounds better is it doesnt need anywhere near as much power. I would be pumping 1000rms per subwoofer if it was me. Lomu subwoofers are big and beefy and un-efficient so they need a heap of power to get ogin

You can, but it will have several effects, mainly:
The T/S specs will change (you need a different box)
And you get half the power handling.

Generally, not recommended doing it.
