Hi all i have a SS Ute and im thinking of where i can put two 12s or 2 15s behind the seats i dont want them in the Tray at all anyone got any ideas on this sort of install?
shiny_car
hmm, not sure what you mean by "where can i put them".

just put them behind the seats!

is it not possible to build a box to fit there? doesn't sound like you've got much option. they either fit or they don't.

good luck.

Wow dude, are you sure you can fit two 15's in there ?
shiny_car
yeah, something like hertz air mille subs, that can perform in tiny sealed boxes may be the go.

any chance of a photo of the area behind the seats??

you may need to build a custom fibreglass enclosure contoured the the area to maximise space utilisation.

Maybe try an aperidoic enclosure. It will give the same response as a sealed enclosure with about half the volume. Speak to the installer at a good car audio store, and they should be able to tell you if this is suitable for you. But i doubt you'll ever fit two 15" behind your seats, they just require too much volume... Maybe a single 15" air mille? This will still hammer in the tiny cabin space of a ute...

Sorry to break it to you mate but there is no way in hell you are going to get subs behind the seat in a commodore ute without DRASTIC mods......I did 3 magma 12's in a VS ute about 3 years ago....but it was cut out the sheetmetal time....you can mount a 12" sub out of sight in the holden utes without it going in the bed or being able to see it....and they go pretty hard too....but you have to pick your sub specifically for this application....
