Just wondering if anyone has seen a 3-way set in an AU falc? How did it sound. I think i have a couple of options.
1. 7" in stock location of factory 5 x 7, 3" and 1" in the kicks
2. 7" in the kicks, 3" on the dash or up at that height and 1" in stock location in A pillar.
3. 7" in the kicks, 3" in stock location of factory 5 x 7 and 1" in A pillar
I am leaning towards opt 1 as it is easiest and less destructive, and more likely to work. Does anyone else have other options?
Cheers

Unfortunately I haven't seen an AU with a 3 way setup, but when you do it I
definitely want to see pics !!
Of your options I like (1) & (3), I think (2) has the potential to be a little bright (imho).

Just thinking out loud: a couple of small things to consider with:
- (option 1) In putting a 7" in the 5x7 slot, you'll have to check if you have sufficient mounting depth. I think you'll have no probs with a 3"-5" though.
- (option 3) If you're putting the 7" in the kicks, check if there's enough space on the passenger side, afaik the ECU is there and takes up a bit of space ? (pls correct me if I'm wrong here, I actually can't remember how much space there actually is, it's been a while since I looked in my kicks )
Also I notice you're talking about speakers in the kicks/doors but not door pods ? Is it because you don't want the door trim modified at all, or are you flexible ? If you're flexible, what about that space at the bottom right (bottom left on passenger side) of the door ?? ie. if you remove the large block of plastic/insulation there do you think you could make use of the space/depth ?? (hopefully you've removed the door trims and know what I'm talking about ?)
I'm definitely looking forward to other ppls opinions

I don't think you should put the 7"s in the kicks... they won't have much of an enclosure volume behind them, and this will cost you ALOT of mid-bass.
Option 1 sounds the go to me. 7"s in doors to give nice punch, 3" and tweets in kicks...

I thought i might have trouble with depth, but not the case, my old alpines are deeper than my dyns. AU2, the computer is there but hopefuly i cant get around this without moving it. Mickee i'am with u in opt 1, i am striving to get good midbass and use these positions.
Cheers for the replies
