I know where/when/how much i can get them for, etc, but, wondering about what people think of the SQ of them? I've heard some in a non-sq setup (very non) and i love the sound of them, loud and tight..... but, anyway, i've heard critters, tight and loud, however, andu's setup just makes me wanna go get 2 now
To the big question..... Should i go 2 L7's, 2002 range, and if so, i'm thinking 10", but worried they won't give the "big" autoritativeness that the 12's do! I think the 10's would be slightly better SQ, if i get them, i'm going 2 of them 2x12, or 2x10..... other option, is one 10" brahma
What do you people think? I've got PLENTY of power btw

Mmmmm....
There is something about L7s that if they "do it for you" there is somehow no substitute.
S12L7s have a weight and texture that is not elsewhere, the 10s are not quite there but pretty good nonetheless IMO.
For mine, if you can fit 12s then go that way tho the 10s will be very good.
The 2002 series are a bit higher Q than the 2001 series and IMO are better suited to sealed enclosures.
I reckon it's a good plan ubugger, will hammer with that PPI and be the bass compliment to a system that is heading in the direction of VERY LOUD SQ

You sound like you are in a similar position to me... In my next setup i want to get an L7, i think it will be a 15 though.
After hearing the L7 in critters car i was amazed at how tight it sounded but was amazed that it could still shake the car.
SQL is the way of the future
If i was you i would try and get 2 12's in... u shouldn't have too many problems with that as you have a large boot. However u may want to add a second set of splits to the front as well to make up for the extra bass, then u will have one HUGEEEE front stage! If u were to keep the current front stage, i think the single 12 would be fine.

nah, my current f/s goes so farkin loud it's not funny..... too loud IMO!!! but, it's cool i'm thinking 2x12"'s....... they'd keep up with my f/s well hmmmm i like the sound, heard them a few times, and damn they are tight

could you really fit the required box for 2 L7 subs into your boot? well, not without taking up most of it and rearranging your amp rack?
good luck

I could fit it, amp rack is being redone due to new aquisition I could fit it, however, leaning towards one sub, 1400wrms + L7 = serious.... one 12" should do..... one 12" MTX t3000 almost does currently, although, at "22" on the volume scale, it starts farting and over driving the suspension But, the f/s goes to 33 (full) happily... methinks one should do

if u were gonna run the 2 X L712" (sealed max size enclosure 2cu.ft)
would use 1 or 2 kx1200.1 to power them??
I would definitely get the 12inch if your front stage can handle the mid bass. If your fronts can play down to 60-70hz then there is no need for 10inch that can play the 80-90hz stuff bettter.
As you sound like your fronts are killa then go with two 12's heaps better option

Well, i did get a single one
A "black" cone version, same as critters sub Dual 2 ohm coil, 12", niiiceeee
Very impressed, running iwth a 1400wrms PPI barbeque... goes quite well, running sealed at the moment, toying with the idea of ported, but still not sure.... hmmmm, decisions decisions
