Was just wondering what would bet the perfect shape for a sealed box in regards to sound quality, I've heard that a cone shape is the best, others say a cylinder. Was just curious what you guys think?

sphere lol no cancellation
I personally think tubes.

Are we talking subwoofer enclosures, or midrange?

IMO the best shape is no shape, ie infinite baffle.

In my experience it makes little difference what shape you build the enclosure so long as it is the correct volume. The frequencies being handled by the subwoofer are such that the wavelengths are all much longer than any of the internal dimensions of the box so cancellation, constructive/destructive interferance and similar are not problems. For example witness the shape of nearly every home-theatre/hi-fi subwoofer, rectangular or quite often square. Having said that the box in my car is banana shaped!
