Which model? The Titanium ones? Or are they the offspring of the Double Magnets? If that is the case, the DM subs were short of two things to perfection... Carbon Fibre cone and dual spiders. Otherwise, they are spot on for SQ. I have 3 of the DM and are loud as hell maintaining the SQ side of things. The titanium models were the cheaper model and less "quality" sub. Ideal for budget buyers only.

If the model number is CS-2226 and they are called Jaycar Response Double Magnet Subwoofers... dude I have 3 of them in my boot and they are a sub not for the fainted hearted, I can assure you. They soak up 250WRMS. Very deep sounding sub in a sealed enclosure of about 35 litres.

Just saw the ones you're on about... they look vicious! Don't know, but if they are saying they are better than my ones, the previos DM subs... go get 'em!

i think jaycar have a good tradition for making good quality subs
my mate was using 2 12" jaycar subs and stock mirage speakers at last year's autosalon dB drag, won his division with 148dB

Are you sure dude? Looking at autosalon results (all of them besides Brisbane) no one won Street 1-2 or SS1-2 with a 148dB other than people who I know for a fact don't have jaycar subs..
Keep in mind I'm not saying it isn't possible to hit 148dB with 2 12" jaycar subs..
You can check them on termpro - http://www.termpro.com/asp/eventresults1.asp?Method=0

Back on topic, I do think the new 10" jaycar metal coned subs have the potential to have good SQ..
