has anyone built one of these? i just downloaded the plans, and they look very good. Gone to the forums on the sight, and they get very good reviews.

Interested in wether anyone else has tried building one, im going to try it myself....

I do actually have the plans for these, have had them for years..

I never really build one for a few reasons, mainly because I wouldn't be able to get the adjustable baffle to sit tight..

Being a bandpass box it does suffer from the common problems - Limited bandwidth, out of band noise, higher group delay etc.. Using good crossovers and strong midbass drivers are essential..

Thats not to say that you can't get a bandpass box to sound good. (while giving you the SPL gains...) But an individual design for the speaker would be more ideal.. - I'd start by measuring the T/S specs, then design the box using CAD (by that I do not mean see what the program cranks out when you first enter in the specs, I mean look at all of the graphs and tweak the numbers until I get a suitable alignment). Then I'd tweak the port lengths and box volumes while doing listening tests.. Getting a bandpass box sounding good is not that easy..
