Ok after hearing T-bro's 925...i like it. But i'm also considering the Alpine 7998 or other flagship units for roughly $1100.
I'm particularily looking at the Clarion 935 + Clarion DPH910 processor. Cause through my company I can get them both for roughly $1k for both. Whereas if I go the alpine or the Pioneer I can only just get them for $1100.
With the clarion DPH...do I loose TA? Does it use an optical cable between the units? Because I was thinking of placing the DPH in the boot...to reduce noise (cause optical doesn't allow noise to enter the cable does it?), then just short RCA's to the amps.
What are the thoughts? And yes i've searched for other topics...just thought i'd ask again for any new ideas floating around.
Cheers,
Joe

Afraid i can't help you with your choice, as i have no experience with the Alpine, but i can tell you that the 910 will be a waste of money paired with the 935. IF you could get it to work at all, the 935 already has all the features of the 910. The processor to use is the DVH920, as the 935 will control it directly. This will give you Dolby Digital capabilities for if you add a DVD player later.

Since these items are out of my price range, you'll get more info from clarions websites then me

Yup...... it won't work DPH-910 only works with DXZ-715/725/825 and one or two more....... the Alpine would be my personal choice, because i don't like the clarions double face job..... but, the clarions are good units, but can be picky with cd's (with regards to scratches, marks, etc)...... i like clarion, the processor is AWESOME if you use it with optical and a stacker

my friend using DXS-925 while i'm using 7998, we both using same amp n split for front, all i can say is, both got huge features, n my alpine sound a bit brighter than his clarion, i think it just matter of taste, since both HU got awesome quality

What is the RRP of the DVH920?
Does the optical cable come with it?
