Just looking threw the old threads, there wasn't much mention on the SQ quality of these subs.... HAs anyone have experience in regards to the Thunder4000 and thunder6000 series?

well, depends on what you consider to be SQ. I wouldn't list MTX as tops on SQ but with a proper box, amp and tuned well I supose it would be around mid level i guess.

I don't typically comment of the whole "which components are good for SQ" subject, but it may be worth noting that there will be a 12-inch woofer review from Auto Salon Magazine being published on CAA soon that includes the MTX T4000 and a subjective review on SQ in comparison to many other comparable woofers.
While I won't print the full results here, I can tell you that the MTX was not the highest scoring for SQ, in fact it was one of the lowest - from memory. This doesn't mean it sound bad, it just beams there are certainly better SQ woofers out there for the money.
