Currently I am looking at a few headunit options:

I am looking at the Pionner DEH-P5550MP

JVC KD-SX995

KD-SH707

KD-LH1000
http://www.hifidirect.com.au/product.asp?p...t=JVC-KD-LH1000

The thing with the SX995 JVC is that the display is a bit bland, I just want something a bit more easier to navigate.

The KD-LH1000 has a LCD screen and makes all the menus very exciting. I can get it for $450, as a pose to the $699 price, they are on special.
Only thing is, it doesn't play mp3. But I don't mind coz I would probably just run cds on it anyway, and just have a nice big album of just all my cds. Its no biggy. Other thing is that i heard they only have a 2.5 volt output on the rcas, I was also told that there is a way of getting around this, by getting a voltage increase thing, lol.

But yeah what do u reckon guys?

Thanx

This is not an Audiophile question... so wrong section.

Anyway, you don't really NEED anymore than 2v RCA output voltage anyway. You won't hear a difference in sound. You can get line drivers which are powered and go inline with your RCA's to boost the voltage up.

It sounds like you've made your choice already

How is it not a Audiophile question?
My queries are based on Quality of Sound....

Your first post did not say anything about the quality of sound...

You asked what we think. You already said you like the one with the best display and the RCA's appeared to be your deciding factor. No mention of quality of sound, so please don't be a smart **** .

Anyway, I would choose the Pioneer for quality of sound, just because of reputation, quality, and service. I doubt you'd hear a difference though.

I did mention about quality of sound, when i spoke about the RCA's, how is that not to do with the quality of sound. Why else would i ask it?

You asked if there is a way to make the voltage higher, nothing about the SQ of it.

Anyway, if you asked this in "The Demo Room", where it should be, you'd have alot more answers and not me arguing
