whats an average 2 channel amp that can run my alpine splits at 50wrms each? i dont want a super cheap amp because i know it will make it sound crap. so nothing too cheap, but still reasonably priced. im gonna set my budget at $300.
this amp is only for my front stage, hence the 2 channels, but should amp my rear fill or just run them off the head unit?

oh, by the way, the slpits are alpine spr176A.
and i think the rears are alpine sps170A or something like that!

Jaycar's Response 2x84wrms amp would be a good choice and at $205 you've got mony to spare

Check out the ///Alpine siries of 2 channels. Look at the T757 (ones before the new models) Great amps and great SQ. Dont just go for an amp that "fits the profile" if you are looking to upgrade later, or will wil be buying and selling which will cost you $$$. Look for a 2 x 100 amp and then you have something to play with for your next upgrade.
Hope this helps

where would i pick up one of these ///Alpine siries of 2 channels. Look at the T757? and how much? would the shops still have them in stock?
thanks for ur help.

well i doubt you'd be able to pick one up new, 2nd hand would be the way to go

theres a t757 and a t407 (which would be perfectly adequate for your splits...2x40 @ 12v underrated for sure, which i was wanting to get but i picked up a coustic 480qe isntead) in the fs forum from nicemudflaps

a couple of a 1505s/1005's as well, would be very good...., as well as a srx2 for $200 or so from mrbob .....all in the fs forum

as you can see i like 2nd hand amps, to me theres no reason why there would be any problems with them provided they were treated decently, and you can pick up a much nicer 2nd hand one for the price than you can new

Mr_Bob's SRX2 is actually new and a bargain

I would take that SRx2 Audison power will be perfect for your SQ
RM Audio
SRx 2 are now only $299 RRP so it would suit your budget.

If Mr Bob is selling his you may get a bargin there.

Or you may wan't to compare apples with apples Alpine's V12 serie are top of their line and used in their alpine mercedes.
Srx are good value but V12 are comparable to at laest the LRX line of Audioson amplifiers.
