has anyone had any first hand experience with the Eclipse line of amps. In particular the Eclipse 36201. How suitable would it be to run a pair of Focal 165k splits? What is the general sound quality of Eclipse amps like ?

I have an Eclipse EA2212 running my Focal 165Vs and its really good.
The Eclipse gear is designed for SQ work and lives up to its reputation.

i have got two eclipse 36201s for my car ... i use one to drive mid basses, the other for midrange and tweeter ... they is very nice amp, and super reliable ... i have never had a single problem wit em ... im fact they managed to servive me hooking up power and earth the wrong way around at three oclock in the morning ... lol ...

ok excellent. i was thinking of changing over the amp for something with a bit more grunt, maybe a 2x75wrms or so. but i do like the look and reputation of Eclipse, i think i will keep it now !
