Hi Everyone,

Just curious as to the quality of A/D/S as I haven't had much experience, in fact, none at all with this particular brand...

I'm interested in making an offer to 'nicemudflaps' for his A/D/S 346is Speakers.. Can somebody give me some information as to the quality, sound etc of these...

I'm looking at running a set of splits whatever they maybe off my Audison LRx4.300 Amp, Fully Active..

I've also considered Dynaudio, Focal any other recommendations and comparison of these to the A/D/S Splits?

Thanks for your help... They will be going into the doors of a 1991 GT Starlet, Full Soundened etc...

I had a good listen to the demo car A-Z trading had built that was full of a/d/s gear - including the splits and I thought it sounded very nice.

The only thing I couldn't justify was the price - I even thought I was absurd paying near on $700 for Focal Splits - let alone stretching to $1500 (or however much they were) for the ..a/d/s gear.

But yeah - that was one of the nicest sounding systems I've heard - so would have to say that I'd have no trouble recommending that you buy them.

Extremely good quality equipment...right up there with Focal, Dynaudio, Boston etc...

Whether you like the sound of them over the others...thats a matter for your ears and then wallet to decide...

If only my wallet and ears would agree on what sounds good and what doesn't.

I have a set and love them. At that price they are a bargin.
they are the "3 series" which is there middle grade, next step up is competition which are $3499.
build quality is excelent and they look sexy, they are a perfect set of splits.

What they sound like: A bit like boston but less bass heavey.
Any Q's about them just PM me.
*@ $600 odd me thinks of some new rear fill*

I have been an a/d/s fan for a while now. The 341is speaker and awesome set. I just recently listened to them on my a/d/s p850.2 amp and they sound killer. They are a very mellow and yet full impact. a/d/s is definitely the rolls royce of car audio (generalised opinion) as the prices suggest.
If you can afford them, get them but be sure to audition them first as they have a unique sound almost like the Oz Audio Matrix's but not quite there. These are polyk's of the focal line with utopia performance if you catch my drift. I am an a/d/s aholic but the prices are really 25% overpriced.

Final Verdict: awesome set of speakers and a serious price tag. you won't be disappointed if you choose a/d/s - sound as it should be ...

Stoked- Would that have been a black 200sx?

If not I heard a car with a set of A/D/S splits, 3 x 10's and amp. There was also a RFX9300 then a Nak CD-700

This was the first real sq car u heard and I liked it, this had extremely large crossovers which would really be for show. They are a great brand and i was looking at their subs for a while.

Nope it was a Silver Volvo S40 - it's featured in Aust In Car Entertainment - issue number 55 - on page 26. The one with 18" Momo rims on it.
