Does anybody have any idea on the pricing of Eclipse head units? Which one can be had for $500-600? What other head units would be comparable to this for around the same price?

From memory i think its 3431.

i would look into the older alpines to be honest. They're all on special now that the new models are coming in. I've seen some 7894's on special down to $699 recently (down from $999), which would have a lot more features for the price...but then again, eclipse HU's just plain sound good!

the top or top two overseas models have them 8 something series

unfortunately in australia we don't get them. Only the 3 something series have been updated this year

we have lot's of modle's over here ...
the top of the range is the 8061 .. and im not sure if t has time alingment ? but's it's a grate deck ... we have the 3 , 5 , and 8 series hu's ova here ...

eclipse australia arent touching T/A for the time being...the 8051 and 8061 havent been updated and the external processors arent capable of it...maybe next year
