Guys,
I'm looking for some advice on a pair of rear speakers for my car. The rest of the system consists of 6.5inch front splits (running off a 2ch alpine amp), and a 12inch JLW6v2 in the boot (with a mono alpine amp).
I dont want to put a third amplifier in my car, however, i do want some good sounding, QUALITY speakers for my rear fill that will run purely off my head unit (a Clarion DXZ-835MP putting out 53W max/18W RMS x 4).
I do realise that running off the deck will be very limiting, but I'm just looking for the best within these constraints. Also, if it was a 6" speaker that would be preferable because it would fit in the factory mounting holes on the rear parcel shelf.
Thanks in advance guys. Cheers

Hey there! NICE sub
What is your budget. Considering the equipment you are using, I would be suggesting some of the Hertz 6.5" coaxials that are avialable from the online store. They produce great SQ and should suit your need adequately. They are about $150 by memory!

Budget isn't really an issue for me. Plus I guess the fact that they need to run off a head unit alone will in itself set me a budget, because the higher end speakers all need amps to run properly.
But thank you for the suggestion Mitch, I will have a look into the Hertz speakers. Any others??

Go JL 6inch co-ax. JB Hi-Fi have them on sale in melb reduced from 220 down to 170 and I picked a pair up with a mate for 135. Better then most. Probably best speaker for that price.

Jaycar 6" coaxials with the titanium tweeters are very good and only $160 a pair

Thanks for the advice guys!! One more issue I gotta throw in.
My car's standard speakers are 6inch Clarions (I'm assuming entry level stuff). Will there be a noticeable difference between the speakers being suggested (Hertz, Jaycar, JL Evolution TR series) and my current ones if they are only running 18WRMS?
I guess the real question I should have asked at the beginning fo the thread is: would it be worth it to upgrade from the stock Clarions to any of the above mentioned woofers? [edit - sorry, i mean speakers].

if its only for rear fill i dont think you should bother personally.
i disconnected my rear speakers yesterday and i think it sounds better without em. But if u amped the fronts and had the stock rears running off the head unit i think it would sound fine

Well in that case, if you already have stockies in the rear, I wouldn't bother upgrading personally!
