hi,

i currently have a 88120DVC Eclipse alum running off M500 right now..and it sounds good but i feel the sub needs more power to get it sounding at its best..

im about to change amps (X604) which will give 300Wrms instead of 500 to the sub..and im thinking of changing the sub to a single IDQ12.
does anyone run just one of these subs? how is the output? i have heard 2 but never one by itself.

i know the SQ will be there, but just wondering how loud it will get

the idq12 is a more efficient woofer, and you won't be losing muchin sq. 300 clean watts is a good amount for an idq12. I've had both, I prefer the alum a lil more.

Output will still be there, 300 watts should bring u close to max excursion limits on an idq12.

I started off with 1 Idq 12 and 400w...it was great..but after adding a second Idq and putting 300 to each..I'm happy. Will sooon be going to 400/450 each when i get my new Autoteck sx2300
