Hi all,

posted this topic in the demo room but thought i'd go one more time in here. Just like to know if anybody has any experience with JL Audio XR series splits and what they think of them..

I had a set of XR525CS, they're ok, the tweeters are kinda nice and not too harsh as say the Boston Pros, but the mids are a bit thin..if you know what i mean, compared to the boston mids which are very nice in my opinion anyway.

anyone else care to make a comment? heahae

i installed 2 sets a while ago, forget the model number but they were 6" from memory. both ran off around 50rms so they were plenty powered, but never blew me away for splits costing nearly $400, but they're not too bad from my experiences seem quite suited to music with a bit of bump like house/r'n'b kinda thing as playing back some real vocal tracks was pretty ordinary, but hey if you like them then go for it they're still a pretty decent split

Ive heard a set of these in a mates car. They are pretty nice sounding splits but I think you can do better for the money. I prefer the sound of the Hertz over these any day.

Nemesis...$400 for XR splits is pretty good. Normally in that price range you'd be looking at the VR series. If you're sure they were the XR series could you please let me know where you got them from?
