Iam building a system and iam going to get 2 boston pro 12.5 lf's, iam going to run them off an audison monoblock i just done know which one.
my question is do i get a
LRx 1.400 900wrms@1 ohm with 2 ohm subs
or
VRx 1.500 1080wrms@2 ohm with 4 Ohm subs
so iam wondering is it worth gettin the VRx for that extra bit sq and rms, iam guess that running the LRx at 1m ohm for daily use could in the long stress the amp a bit much, is this true or not?
Any thoughts

You will not stress out the LRx at 1 ohm.
It is designed to do it all day everyday.
The main advantages of the VRx are as follows:
1. Higher power at higher impedance.
2. Options like DSC1 (Dynamic Subwoofer Response Control) and other modules for specific gains.
The question is, do you mind spending the extra for what you are getting?

If there are benifts to be had in the way of SQ, yes i would pay the extra money for the VRx, and if i change my subs one day i can also drop the VRx down to 2000wrms@1 ohm

Yeah i was thinking about running it like that, but ive heard that the bostons cant really take that power on a daily basis.

My favourite phrase has always been "too much power is never enough!". Headroom is so important in a system and with gains as low as possible, you should have a good start to a great SQ system. Obviously, common sense has to be used and if the user can control the power correctly, you will not only have a loud SQ setup but a setup that should last for years!
