hey guys, im just wondering what are the best speakers out there to get ?
not something stupidly priced but something pretty decent.
i listen to just about every sort of music out there, and im just wondering what i should get. I used to own some dls 6.5 splits, just wondering, what wld be the go on some new speakers for my new car...

i only want to know bout the roughly 6" for now, as the back isnt important atm, i just have no sound at all atm.

How much do you want to spend? An upper limit, or an approximation will help a lot.
The "in" speakers on the forum at the moment seem to be Phoenix Gold & Hertz.
Perhaps if you had a look on Web Audio Direct or Advance Audio & Electrical, particularly @ the Rainbow speakers, some of the best in the world.
After looking at those sites perhaps you can decide what's in your budget & work from there .

Give us an indication of your budget then we may be able to offer you advice.

This is only me personal opinion:

$100 - $500 range - Hertz HSK165
$500 - $800 range - Diamond Audio
$800 + range - Focal, Dynaudio

That's a rough guideline anyway

What marc said, and dont forget boston, they have good split system's in all of those price ranges.

Another brand to look out for is Dragster, awesome sounding splits imo.

Oooh oooh and don't forget the new Morels !!!!

well i was looking for something in the 2-300 dollar range actually
so ill have a look into those hertz,and go from there i guess

On E-Bay at the moment there is a Set of Infinity Reference 3-ways which could be had for around the area you want to spend

What DLS speakers did you have???
