Ive got $300-$400 to spend on a 12inch DVC sub. Looking at a Sound Quality sub to play rnb and trance, with load deep bass.
Is there any subwoofers that are a better buy than the Alpine Type R? If so which ones.
Also should i be buying a DVC 2ohm or DVC 4ohm?
Amp will be the Audison LRX 1.400, Specs are i believe:
1x350rms 4ohm
1x650rms 20hm
1x900rms 1ohm
Any Help would be sweet.
Cheers.

I have an a/d/s 312rs.2 for sale (look into my for sale forum)...it would be better than the Type R in SQ.

Boston Competitor, they are available in 2 ohm. Bascially a PRO without the pretty basket. Awesome if you are tight on space.

Yes, there is several subs that are better than the Type R for the money.
I wouldn't recommend an Adire Audio - Shiva though... I was extremely disappointed in it's output when I purchased mine and upgraded very quickly to the 15" Tempest. Sounded better and went ALOT louder.
Look at the a/d/s/'s being sold in the for sale section... Very good SQ sub. Or an Infinity Perfect, my ex had one and I thought it sounded great.

Phil was obviously sick of getting flamed, but i'm gonna mention it anyway
Digital Designs 2012, Hand made in the U.S.A, I went from type R's to these DD"s and theres no comparison!! Around $350.00
U may need to get a different amp that makes its most power at 4ohm as IIRC they only come in SVC 4ohm version.
