I have a set of Utopia 165W splits and a Alpine MRV-F540 and was wondering if it would be beter to bridge both channels to power these splits or just run them of the front two channel and use the other two channels for my Focal 165CV co-axials? Also I have a MRD-M500 that will be powereing a Focal 33WX so it will be only getting around 250wrms, Do you think that will be enough power? The alpine amps are from a previous system and will not be changed so just wondering best way to use them with these speakers?.

I would opt to run the splits active (the are 2 way aren't they?) or brigde them to get more power. Either way i think leaving the rear fill to head unit duties.

Try both ands see what happens. See which sound you like better. Most probably be the brigded option but give it a go and compare them and stick with what suits your ears.
