When my system is finished it will consist of
HU: Clarion 835MP
Splits: Boston Pro6.5s
Amp: Either Vrx6.420 or 2xLrx2.250
Sub: Xtant 10" or boston pro 10"
Assuming this is all installed correctly does this system stand a chance at an sq comp?
My main concern is the front splits, would i be better buying a set of Dynaudio 240GT's?
Thanks

The components used are the least of your worries. It's all in the install! Make sure they are well placed for optimal staging, imaging etc... get rid of as many rattles as you can also.
Those components are all excellent, and if installed correctly should do very well.

ok thanks
i realised the install is the a very important part in having a chance, but i just wanted to make sure the components i was buying would make the cut so to speak.
so boston pro's would be ok against dynaudio 240GT's? or should i upgrade? the upgrade pretty much will cost me nothing, although i am happy with the pro's too

have a listen to both, there damn fine speakers and upgrading wouldent be the word i would use.
just a different sound (just slightly)
so it would be best to see which suites your taste.
but the bostons u can mount the tweeter on the mid which can be a benifit
T Bro in syd won his class in at auto expo earlyer in the year using boston pro's
