Hey all just got a couple of questions for yall.
This is what my system is looking like so far with all components pretty much bought bar the amp. It includes:
Source Unit: Clarion DXZ835MP
Front Speaker: Boston RC620
Rear Speaker: Boston RM6
Sub: MB Quart RWC 304
Amplifier: Boston GT-50
Now I was just wondering if this amplifier would do justice to this set up, namely the front speakers. It gives 55w x 4+230w x 1.
Also has anyone used enough of these products to make a prediction of how it would sound?
Anyway any input is welcome.
Cheers

I'd drop the rear speakers, change the sub to a Boston Pro and you'll have an all Boston system:)
I'd look for an amp with a bit more power tho - like 75 x 4 or 100 x 4 would be best. Then you could bridge 2 ch to your sub for a healthy amount of power.

Mohan.

the GT50 has an awesome reputation, so if it's a 5-channel amp you're after, then it's probably the way to go. and the power specs don't tell the full story; it's apparently plenty powerful and would drive the 'rally' series splits beyond their capabilities.
your suggestions should make an excellent SQ setup.
but i too would look to buy the best front splits you can afford. these are the most important component of any SQ system. still, if you love the sound of the 'rally's', then fine. but at least audition something like the 'pro' splits for comparison to see if you can hear a benefit. then, if you have to compromise, ditch the rear speakers for now and add them later if you wish.
what's the GT50 subchannel's lowest stable impedence? 2ohm? and how does this affect power compared with say a 4ohm sub. just ensure you have the correct impedence sub for best power output (ie: 2ohm sub if you need the power from the amp).
i have not auditioned an MBQ sub before, so cannot comment on its quality cf others. MBQ make great splits, so i'm sure their subs are good too.

The sub is only rated at 4ohms and 200wrms. The amp can put out 350w at 2ohms and I think I will utilize that later down the track.

I would suggest using a Boston GT42 and finding a 2ohm or dual 4ohm subwoofer which you can bridge on 2 channels, then run your fronts off the other two channels.
Your rears can then run off the HU or you could get one of the small Boston amps (they wont need alot of power).
This set-up would give you more power for your front end.
