ok i dun understand much on spl tuning and all so how do u people tune for an spl comp

i was thinkin it be like overclockin pc like u just set the gain little by little and test it with some music until the amps shuts down and that would be the max system can handle so u go into a comp and pump up just below that max
so is that how it works?

also when u test music i hear u mentio things like since sweep, test tone or somethin like that. so wahat exactly are all these testing music? which is better to use?

test tones r the best

and yes tweaking and testing is what we all do to gain the most. It is never ending because if u stop tweaking it is time for a new setup . you should always be trying diffrent port configs, box sizes, port placement, sub placement seats in or out tuning freq etc.

and u do a test let the amps and vc cool down, charge up the batteries make a change and c how the tweak goes
