I'm about to build a box for my single Kicker 15" L7 for some SPL numbers and i'm putting the question out to all or of you as to what are your biggest single woofer SPL numbers and what sort of box / sub combo was it? (basically this post is an extension of Andu's post)
I'm hoping for around 147db...

Well i did 141.8dB with 2 12's in a box.
that was about 8cubes. Which was about 2-3 cubes to big. And 700W RMS per sub.
I'm about ready to build a single woofer box giving 1 12" 1400W RMS.. And i'm hoping for 145dB+
So we'll See.
Adam did 147 with 1 TR off the shelf SVC 12"
and 150 with 1 TR 15" off 1400W RMS.
In a box approx 3-4 cubes with dual Aero Ports (Trumpet Ports). In a small Barina.

It's not INCARS meter, but Custom Image who work with INCAR a lot... same thing though... And I dont think he's hit that high on others, but does 155's or so consistently on other meters...
Also... At BAS last weekend, I'd like to increase my PB

147.0dB off the setup above, bar the amp was changed to an Alpine 1507 and was not scoped to find optimum gain/volume settings

lanzarau made has made a best of 158.5 on a very cold night, after 11:30pm at one of our night comps, after extensive tweaking.
He made over 156 several other times, with just 2 amps, on various meters.
Nathan made around 148 off a single 12" and one amp.
We've had other cars make in the 150s off BMF XTs and Strokers recently.
There's not much point in building single woofer cars under dB Drag rules anyhow.
Most interesting are car's like Chief's INCAR Mira which are banging on 160 in SS 1-2.

single woofer's rock, less wastage due to cancellation, more available space per woofer, for stronger enclosure (more room for thicker wood)and more box/port volume available.
more/easier efficient sub placement/angling.

1. In a normal vehicle for day to day use 2 is better than one, same output less with excursion = cleaner bass.
2. dB Drag rules allow for 2 woofers
Sure it's cool to go loud off one woofer, but it sucks to go home in second place! Nobody remembers the second place getter!

I wouldve thought that in s1-2 where the major limiting factor is lack of available power (from the cars electrical system), a single sub setup would be better with the advantage mainly being the reduced cancellation

in S1-2 you generally have plenty of room for 2 12s and if you wanted to hit significantly over 150, you'd really want to use 2 efficient 12s a big D class amp and a biig battery
147 + 6dB ought to be loud for a street car

Who care's about Dave's meter. or northfield's meter. The world of dB Drags is based on the dB Drags meter...
All other meters in terms of that competition scene are based on these.
I can go use an Audiocontrol that is prob 2-3dB higher also, if you like.

if you want a 99% accurate reading, the meter has to be calibrated on the day
if the termpro hasn't been calibrated in a long time and has had plenty of use, then it most probably isn't accurate either
btw, the mics in termpro and audiocontrol are pretty similar

Yeah i feel for you guys. It is a real shame that they don't go there.
As dB Drags should be a National thing IMO, so as far as records, etc go. It doesn't really give the full picture.
And to add to that. I wouldn't expect the same numbers in Vic/Sa compared to QLD or Nth QLD. Considering the huge difference in the weather, esp if you compare say, our winter to your summer.
it would be good to see if go national officially.
