Full Version: Its Alive
Well after a day and a bit of work my 8 cube sealed (I am Crazy) box is in the car with a extra two batteries and a single concept amp on the inhuman. and it sound pretty nice (or is that the rattles ).
it really is begging for more power but all in good time. we will run it tommorow and c wat kinda score we get.

well i am a little dissapointed but happy
the comp was a dodgy as a pink elephant on the moon. the mic was placed somewhere up in the roof no where near the glass. i left after my first run cos i have better things to od but 130 db @ ~35hz was fun my cd player was playing up so never got a chance to play another tone of slightly higher freq. and around the freq the dash in my panel van has a x-max of like 1cm hehehe. to me it sounds very nice with music and has heaps of potential. just remember it is a tripple spider with only ~2000wrms into it 
it is begging for alot more power i can hear it "give me more power give me more power"
i thinking of a wall in he van but i was thinking of selling my van
who knows anything can happen.

just now the[k]id splat_man and myself have been giving the inhuman a work out
everything from chemical brothers to limp bizket to gatecrasher and we have come to the conclusion that it is very nice sound. with a bit more work it would be a killa SQ sub. quiet tight. it handled the dance music with faster beats quiet well and thew tripple spider didn't seem to inhibit it much. but it does like sucking the power due to not being the most efficent sub having 3 spiders.
also because I had never seen the car on the ouside with the sub running i noticed i had quiet a bit of "ghetto flex", even the floor of the panel van. and the movement of the sub was crazy. the SPL score was apoor reflection of how well the amp and sub performed. the amp was not even slightly warm after a good period of picking out bassy bits of songs and was at 1 ohm. thats one of the things the concept was known for cool runing. the amp does have a fan and sometimes it can be audible but only with dead silence(eg at 1 in the morning when your next door neighbour isn't burping his inhuman at 33hz
who could of that been). the VC and motor were just as cold as the amp and towards then end had a slight bit of heat forming but next to nothing.
pictures of it and a little movie of it getting down and dirty will be up very soon so hold on.
and it is comfirmed a wall will go in hopefully next weekend. so after 1 day of playing with it I am ready for a new box (will most probally keep the same box just convert it to a wall and add a couple of cubes)

Talk, I had trouble thinking with that noise. A stunning sub. Great SQ, considering it was with an amp that was suposed to be 'dirty' (it aint!) and a sub built for SPL (Mmmm, triple spider).
