A questions, which is more important for sound off usage. Lots of CCA's or a good amp hour rating??
I will be using 4 amps at the moment, but when funds are available i will be getting another 4. 600amps max current draw for the 4 amps. help please???

For SPL usage, i believe its better to have high cca ratings, as a/hr is more long term, and u wont be sitting there using ur amps for hours at a time!

so buy running 4 x 1000cca battries in parralell should be able to surfice for burping??

ah yeh! i think they'll JUST be able to do it. generally the sealed batts have a reasonable amp/hr ability as well so you can get the best of both worlds.

these batts aren't sealed they are big truck style 2ft x 0.5ft x 0.5ft, putting out 1000cca each

I go to a sealed batt i will be getting 750cca, but these are normal car size.

Space is no issue, neither is weight, but price is, so odessey's, optima are out of the question, because i can get 2 big batts for the price of an odessey/optima batt

I will not run the system for long periods at all, 4 amps on to 1 sub...

Both is good. The Trojans in my Civic push 1000A no problem and hold 300 a/hr.

Capacity is important for testing also!

i got a couple of normal lead acids in my boot atm. all i have done is made a sealed MDF box and mounted the batteries in there and ran a vent out of the box to the outside fo the car.

sounds like the price of 4 of those batts will also be reasonably high in price as well? the best advantage of batteries like oddyssey over standard lead acid is lower resistance across the terminals, and quicker charge time from dead flat.
maybe you should chat with a batt retailer and see if they can do you some kind of deal for buying more than one batt.
but sounds like its gonna be a ball tearer all the same, good luck!!

well for 4 of those 1000cca big batts, just under $1000, 4 of the 750cca car size a little over $1000, but they said they will be able to work a price once i know exactly what i want
