Im trying to find out the impedence rise of a 15inch venom for SPL but dunno how.

Im thinking of running two 15inch venoms in parallel to an un modded 2x150. I'd guess from what i hear the amp will be getting a 3.5ohm load with both subs?

can anyone confirm this or tell me how to?

Dont wanna blow my amp but i want 140db on the cheap Damn i just worked out i cant eneter street 1-2 with this setup o well i'll have a comp at school and kill everyone there then.

laters

well, the impedance depends on the sub and the box vs the frequency you are playing
(and also how hot the coil is, but since you will be trying not to heat up the coil too much, impedance rise due to heat isn't something I'd rely on)

secondly, the winisd impedance plots aren't always that accurate

but as long as you don't play tones close to the tuned frequency, or a sweep then it should be fine

the box will be tuned to like 45hz and ill play 50hz tones. is that too close to the tunign frequency?

also wat happens at the tunign frequency?

at the ports resonant frequency, the subs impedance is generally at its lowest and your box won't be loudest at the tuned frequency anyway

btw, in your case 45hz is still too high as far as getting max SPL at ~50hz

depending on box size, the best tuning with those subs to peak at around 50hz, would be in the mid-high 30hz range
