Finland now has the loudest SS1-2 with 170.5
Germany took the WR with an extreme 13+ bus doing 175.7
Ex 13+ is going to world finals, makes me wish I was!
See here for details Edit: Had to use make a shorter link coz it wouldn't let me post the other one. Something about scripting... meh.

BUT...
are they using dB Drags rules??
As I have heard a few European countries allow 15's+ in street class. As the rules are totally different.

buggered if i know. but those subs are the SPL dynamics subs...
it's all about the install. most big amps put out over 2kw and drain about the same current, so it's all down to the box really. now that is one big aeroport! hmm, have to try some round ports this weekend.

Hehehe. I guess in street, you are limted, to you get the most out of what you have (hence fat cable, aero port, efficient over massive subs...)

I agree, but i guess the shorter length of ground wire makes up for it. I reckon 2 runs for both would have been better

you don't neccesarily have to have an equal or bigger ground..
the reason is, a piece of wire has a certain amount of resistance per its length, so if you had a longer run, you would want several pieces, or thicker wire, if the run is short (ie a short ground) then the wire doesn't neccesarily have to be as thick

Just been looking at some pics on the link above.
I don't know who checks those cars for rule compliance but I saw many that are clearly illegal. Things like consoles connected the the baffle etc
How do they let them enter?

but it IS legal to have the console attached to the speaker baffle, so long as you can prove its not part of the enclosure
------------------

But it is part of the enclosure.
Connecting the console makes the one half of the cabin into the enclosure and the space from the console to the roof becomes the port.

looks like an old 323/Laser in the pic...
you tell me they came out with an alternator bigger then 50-60amps..

.
very interesting set up too..
shows you how, a large box isn't everything.
which is what my last box showed me.
i'm sure i saw that SS cars had 16-32 amps... what the..

sort of, but not exactly, the woofer(s) still "sees" all of the air in the system, and all of the air still has to be pressurised by the woofer.. the passenger side is still important
or as KraSE said, the cabin always was the enclosure

btw, it definitely is legal, there was a post about it in the dBdrag forum a while ago..

nope doesn't really look 200 SQ"

but really 25mm+ glass/lexan weather be 10"x20" or 7"x15" isn't going to flex so advantage of it will be zilch but i see you point
it is like the 12" rule from knee to chin so How The fark can u fairly test every car in the world.

I doubt any high placing car in recent history has been fully legal...
In all seriousness, look at the combi van with the strokers which set the last record, and tell me it would pass the 12" rule...
Oh, and with items that touch the box, it only counts toward working out whether its a wall or not. Apart from woofers and the wall its self, it doesn't matter what is stuck in front of it... (Unless it breaks other rules)
