I was just wondering if things like temperature and hight above sea level would affect SPL- and if so, how much difference would it make??
thanx,
Glenn

Since every mic reads differently its hard to tell the difference. For example you are supposed to get a better score at higher sea levels, but i have gotten my best score near seal level (approx)

i just checked team gates forum and they are saying that altitude does effect spl, i think thinner air not as dence, plus the tempurature changes will effect spl also

temperature can change the tuning of your box a bit and if your subs and amps are hot, then that will reduce your score
most differences in atmospheric pressure shouldn't affect the score significantly, unless you are comparing extremes
but generally since everyone at the comp has the same basic conditions, then its a level playing field
if you are comparing SPLs from various locations, the calibration of the mic will generally affect the scores more
