Hey all, I'm about to enter my first SPL comp.. 12" class with one sub and i was wondering at what dB would be a good one to be a top contender? I also have a honda civic hatch and was wondering if it would be better to leave the parcel shelf on or take it off?? Thanks! Anything else i need to know plz post!

He mentioned he had a Civic hatch, a good car to get decent SPL in!

What competition are you entering in man? Northfield? Or Street Torque? There should be a few CAA members at either comp, if you have any problems just ask!

If you're at the Northfield comp, i'd say the winning score will have to be 147dB+ second will only be around the 143 mark i'm guessing... Take the parcel shelf out, either before you go or just for ur run, and fold ur back seats down aswell...

Does that mean you will be competing? 143 for second place? That's not fair, looks like I have to find some new subs.

I drive a civic hatch.. system is very basic but good... Headunit is pioneer 9350, front splits - focal polykev 165, sub - 13" focal polykevlar, and PG titanium 475 amp... I'm entering into SPL and SQ comp at northfield this weekend
