As the topic says, what's the loudest s1-2 sedan in Australia, or worldwide. Give me something to aspire to...

I've got no idea what the number in Australia is, but in the US it is ~154dB (certified at 2001 USA finals)
In Australia, it *should* be close to around 150
150 would be a pretty good score for a sedan in S1-2

V8capri comes to mind the only thing tho that was with the back seat out because the VN seat doesnt fold down or sumthing (149.*db)
other wise andu would be up there with (146.*db)
other wise got no clue
SPL in a sedan is as easy as in a hatch if u do it right *or just got lotsa luck*

At the moment in bris, i think it's me, with 143dB and that's only off 10's i haven't seen any other sedan's in bris pulling big numbers in s1-2. so lancerman1 ur only 2 dB off. i'm going to try and beat 150 in s1-2 sedan.

Willy's Corolla Sedan has a PB of 153.4 with 5 year old Soundstream SPL 15s. This was at 42Hz!!!
It is now getting a pair of DD 12s and an Alphasonik 3000W amp, with testing we plan on bettering these numbers at FB.

awwww. that's pretty silly then isn't it.
pfffff.
does the NW in SS1-2NW stand for "no wall"?
So i'd be up against 1-2 15"'s (+) with how many amps/wattage?
Is there an online publication of the Australian rules? On termpro or something?
cheers,

Run a single D2 with Two 12inch Dual 4ohm coils ubs.
Wire them in parallel and the amp should put out 2500+wrms total for burps and with music u can wire them in series for 1400wrms total.
You just need highly sensitive 12inch sub rated around 500wrms. That would insure 150 db in a hatch i'd reccon

in s1 -2 is it against the rules to change your eletrical system or to modify your car??
also is it against the rulse to have your sub box on your back seat insted of in the boot??
sorry if these are stupid questions but i am a newbie
Bodyjar
Oct 22 2002, 12:51 PM
You can change the electricals to an extent... You can upgrade your battery, but it has to be in the stock location without any mods to fit it in. You can't change the alternator either? You CAN however, change cable size, grounds and positives...
No structual omds can be made to the car, you can have the box on the back seat, but it can't go in front of the B pillar. And it has to be below the window line...

3-8b - Nothing in the sound system may interfere with the normal use and / or operation of the vehicle.
Would that cover sub boxes sitting on the backseat? Maybe, maybe not, i'm undecided.
