those dei 1100 is what i would guess they are put out alot more then 1000wrms . they are meant to make 1500+wrms @ 18v. i think nate has said around 1700wrms he has seen out of them. there will be one or two using 16 odd of these in extreme1-2 in finals I think

I have that amp in my car, DEI 1100d. They DEI and Viper are the same company. Viper make car alarms, and DEI (Directed) make audio gear. The DEI is a pretty solid Amp, but I am thinking about selling it because i do not need the power anymore (I have got it powering a small 10 inch sub at 4ohms, the amps go down to 1 ohm).
i was looking at the viper/dei range of amps to use for our SPL car but got a good deal with concept atm

Hey splunk, wot power does that amp make at 4 2 and 1 Ohm.
splunk
Off the top of my head, it is _rated_ at:
4 ohms: 400WRMS
2 : 750WRMS
1 : 1100WRMS

I had it powering 2 IDQs at 1 ohm for about 6 months and it performed nicely (and loudly).
