I Think this question is suitable for the SPL discussion?
Has anyone been tested or built a box yet?
Team Xmax *might* do one for November's Doran day.
Depends on how much competition there is.

well, I guess we are getting dam close to 140dB from a single ten, our next sub choice should yeild that.
We'll get a Tornado this week and make a box from left overs and see what it gets at the next Doran SPL day.
Hope our test's wont blow it up before the SPL day

tornado have changed their name now. and they make amps now HAHAi wanna try one out. hmm i have 2 8" tornados and a friend with 2 12" tornados.

140 fom a single 10 isnt that great a feat.. ive seen 144.2 from a JL 10" in a ported box off only 200wrms!!
its all about the box!

what class was that 144dB from a 10 in?
all our attempts are by street 1-2 rules and being tested by Doran.
we'll have a 140dB 10 in s1-2 probably by december, if we can sell our other subs.

We went to get a Tornado on Saturday and they dont have any at Wollongong straithfield
The only one you could get was a 10" for $50, a bit steep considering the 8's are only $14.
Have to try elsewhere, hope they still make em.

Not meaning to take over the thread....But I got 142.1 tonight with an old earthquake 10" we didn't get time to grab a tornado for our T&T

I think we might have to start doing some more research work and get some higher results. More tuning is in the workings.
No 8" tests for us

we finally got a Tornado 8"!! and it was at Final Battle.
Will be building a box on Saturday and testing it at Doran's on Sunday.
what da ya reckon, 100 dB and then smoke?
I'll post result on Sunday night.

I think we saw a tornado 10" do 135.* at fine iron under lights didn't we?
pig75 was running 1 off a d2 or a us amps or something IIRC.
