My 2 amps have 40 amps of fusing (80 total)
will 0 GA make any difference over the 4 GA I have? Considering 4 GA can take up to 116 amps?
Also, for my future setup:
1) what is the amp rating of 0 GA?
2) Is there any distro blocks commercially available that will accept 0 and put out 2/4?
Thanks.

I'd stick with 4gauge, no need to spend the extra...
As with amp rating, depends how long the cable is?
Stinger make a T-block, with 0g in and 2/3 4g out...
do you plan to run some bigger amps later on. if so i would run 0awg. It is not that expensive when u buy it from welding shops and never hurts to have to big.

I'd say bigger is better (and it looks cooler). Not sure if anyone else knows this but Jaycar do a 0/2ga input into 2x4ga output distro and they don't even know it. Their gold 4 way fuse block has 3 cable entries on the input side, one of these is a 0/2ga and two of them are 4ga. This means you can discard the fuses and the output side of the fuse block and have a distro block for $30 (i think that's the price) which i believe is much cheaper than stinger. also there is a distro block available at
advanceae.com.au that takes 2x0ga inputs to 8x8ga outputs but I can't remember the price on this one.

Actually, the Stinger T-block retails for $29.95

I stand corrected. I just assumed that the stinger t-block was alot more. I was quoted a price of $165 for a stinger fuse box with a 0ga input to 3x4ga outputs. Looks like i'll have to have a bit closer look at the stinger lineup cause i thought it was too far out of reach price wise but it doesn't look too bad now.

Yeah I always thought the Stinger range was overpriced, but when you look at it, its just a little block of brass with gold plating... That was really the only thing I considered from them, then I found out I could buy a Butt connector from aerpro for $8 which is a lot cheaper!

the funny thing is. back in science at school i think they said that silver was a better conductor than any other metal.
i think this gold business is just to make things look more expensive than they could be.
it's got something to do with the amount of electrons or something. i can't fully remember now.

i thought copper was best
gold isn't best
it is good as it doesn't oxidises(sp) and soft so u get good connection etc. thats why it is used IIRC.
and looks shiny

hmmmm.
Stinger T block sounds good.
My next setup will most likely run 1-2000 RMS, havent decided on amps yet but when the time comes looks like im gonna go 0GA.

silver is a little better, but copper is far better value for money (hence why we all use it..)..
