I know that bit!
OK forget about pride, bragging rights, trophy etc... anything else? money, prizes, weekend away for you and your subs?
Friend wants to do a combined system- if we win I get the pride and the trophies and he gets whatever else comes with it.
I want to know if anyhting else ever comes with it?

I have a feeling there "may" have been some discount vouchers on offer for the winners of FB.
However, for almost all comps out there, all there is in way of physical things, is a trophy.
yer nothing much else somtimes vouchers nothing major but sometime nice.

IMO for most of us we go out there for the fun of it, the love of competition, pride in yourself & your system and to gain respect from your contemporaries.
For me its also a buzz when the announcers keep saying "and it only has a single 12 in it !"

Yeah, pride is what it's all about. And the fun of course, the adrenaline rush you get when u roll up to the lanes and ur thinking, crape, have I turned the sub controller on!!?!?
I luv it! And as Blackice said, beating guys with huge setups with a single 12" is the bestest feeling in the world! hehehe

Yeah, yeah pride and all that. I know from back in the day when I wa competing that we all would have loved to win some cash or decent prizes - that was our pure inspiration for offering up big screen TV's for the winners of the Sony comp. I reckon other manufacturers / distributors should do the same for their customers - give something back every once in a while...

Well I must admit it would be awesome if I could win a 2nd Magma at the EQ sponsored comp's I attend.. or a D2 .
But seeings as how thats not happening, it doesn't phase me.. I'm not in it for prizes or money.

Its not about the destination,
Its the journey that matters...
