Yeah, the highest recorded score from a single woofer was from Lanzar_au, he did 158.* but the highest recorded score isnt the same as the australian record...
Are you talking dB Drag? If so, I have no idea...

I was looking at old issues of CSA, I think this record is held by Boyd xxxx whoever from Total recoil- 156.x from 1 of his 15s in a Barina.

The best we've got so far from a Digital Designs 9515 was 158.5dB
This was in a SS1-2 vehicle, powered by only 2 MTX 1000Ds running at nominal 2 ohm loads!

Was that a sanctified SPL event or was that figure done in someones workshop on a so called 'DB meter'. ? I got 148.7 from a very similar setup yet yew are some 10 db louder? Oh let me guess its in the setup? LOL Fair enough but i am a bit dubious about the figure. Especially considering it wasnt in a wall and only in SS1-2 not extreme.

bum: are you sure that wasn't in a wall?
even so, the rear seats could have been removed for more box volume (which could mean more efficiency and less cabin space)
also SS allows multiple alternators and batteries,
if 150 is achievable with 1 12" in street class, then 158 should be viable in super street class with a 15"

I dunno but i would still like to see the results from the event that it was done at

It wasnt done on a dB drag meter, it was done I believe on the "4dB higher" meter... BUT I will say it did constantly do 156's...
160 single 15" would be a pice of cake in SS all you need is $$$$

not just $$$ testing time with a meter which could lend it self to costing $$$ lol

The Audio Control 180dB RTA was a sanctioned meter last time I checked.
They can't be beat for consistant, reliable and repeatable results.
I've run dozens of comps and used every meter other than a B&K. The ACs never stuff up, never crash, never spike, never..........

I have done 146.3db with a Kenwood D class powering DD3512(tuned high with sub on right port on left + no tuning)Pretty sure I can get close to 150db with some tuning.sub takes the power so easy would like to try two amps for kicks.

Guys, time and time again, the conversation goes off topic. From NOW ON, If I feel it's going off topic, I am going to edit your messages as above.
If you have a problem with the "nazi" like moderating, then keep the topics, ON TOPIC.
Thank you.

We were talking about the single woofer record.
It's rude to edit people's posts just because you don't agree with what they're saying.

Do you see anything in this that says your name, or pin points one of your cars...
I see a question about a record nothing else...

FFS Phil OBVIOUSLY has a problem with guidelines.
How long will we continue to put up with it ?
