Okay boys, put your mind to this one.

I hvae an Alpine M500 powering two DVD Type R 12's (2ohm + 2ohm)

I have an Alpine T420 Powering my front Alpine Splits.

Stock battery, Stock altenator. Sealed box (I couldnt sacrifice all that much room in my boot due to amp rack allready being done, so i had to go sealed). I am currently getting 138's How can I push this upwards in a big way? (other than going ported)

Also, When I go around sharpish corners I seem to get an increase of around 3DB, when the corner evens out however this spl increase disappears.

Would this be due to my altenator? apparently it could be my ground, how would this work though??

anywho get back to me a.s.a.p as final checkover and final installation cleanup is booked for tuesday.

Cheers,

James

more power and a ported box a borted box doesnt take up that much more room

ask amdu about boxs his type Rices went hell loud

and about the other thing got no clue sound very weird to me

could it be yout brain slushing to 1 side of your head wen going around a corner and making it seem louder ???
Walkinshaw
sounds like a loose ground. If it changes when lateral loading is applied, bets are that a ground wire is loose and when cornering a better connection is made. Check your ground at the amps, battery, and alternator. Upgrade these to 4agw if not allready so

and for more volume. Get a morepowerfull amp, or more of them. You know you want 1 MRV500 per VC 2 amps per sub

what car is it in? upgrade your battery to something a bit more heavy duty, deep cycle ect, something like and yellow top, odyssy, powercelll ect, to give your amp plenty of voltage, then go for a nice big class D mono block, then you can enter in s 1 - 2 with every other caa member heh, ported boxes dont have to be bg, keep it common chamber then have a nice slot port in the middle, do as purps said and speak to andu, i think his pb was 147 or something in a sedan!

it sounds to me that when you go around those pesky corners your hooking in that much that your leaning closer to window so it sound louder.

Its a Mazda 323 2 Door Hatch (82ish model)

The M500 Is a fully Class D amplifier
the specific one i hvae is rated at 610watts @ 2ohm stable. (check out www.alpine.com.au) it appears to be quite a powerful amp.

I checked all of the grounds today and they all seem to be fine.
Do you think that anew battery will make much of a diff, even with the standard altenator?
if so then is there a cost effective approach to a new battery for under $250.00, basically the lower the better as i'm allready 2 grand over budget on this bloody project *lol*

Thanks guys

James

Type Rice subs only handle around about 350 each, i dont wanna blow them dude!!!
lol

also, is there anybody in perth that could help me with my volume issue that i stated before? ie: going around corners....

Or do you know of anybody in perth that could offer some solutions.

cheers

ppft for burps andu rand 2kw+into em off a d2, throw as much as you can, if you ran a d2 on them and gave the d2 a nominal 2ohm load, if things stayed fairly linear, theoretically your shuld have about 5db increase, then if you went to a ported box then will increase, just try a smallish ported box, because bigger doesnt always mean better, get your box up to scratch then get more power, its cheaper (sometimes) to build more boxes than to get more power, in most cases ported will go louder,

nah I never ran a D2 on my Alpines.... just the Lanzar so aobut 650wrms each? but ran that was daily for music so would handle more for burps... SUBWRX ran his pair of type-r's off a D2 though
