Hey,

I just put in a new ported box, it's tuned pretty low for SQ, but i'd still like to see what it hits.

How can i find out what frequency to run without having a handheld meter to test for my peak?

And when/where in Victoria woulld be the soonest meet/whatever to get it measured? I don't really want to enter a comp just to be measured, cos I know I won't win

Also, can someone please tell me what i'm tuned to?? The subs specs are here
The box is 2.14ft^3 plus displacement. The slot port is 40cm(15.75") x 4cm(1.575") x 89cm(35") long.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I just tried using WinISD Pro and it told me i'm tuned to just below 28Hz... Is that about right?
for music thats about right

for SPL seems a little low

Can anyone else answer my other questions?

Unfortunately no. Different cars, box positons, box design, even the SPL you are measuring at can all affect the peak frequency.

However, if you find a meter, it shouldn't take you too long to play tones from around 60-40hz to find your peak frequency. Play a little below full volume to find your peak and then crank it at your peak frequency. You should also try 1hz above and below, incase it shifted slightly at the higher SPL.

Thanks

I guess if i goto a meet, there might be someone with one.
