Hey all im currently trying to decide what amp i should get to run my Kicker F15C 15"sub the specs say it can handle "500 watts PMAX" dunno what PMAX means.

Also its in a 3.8Cuft ported enclosure tuned to 28Hz if that matters at all?

At the moment im running a small 2X150watt Power acoustik amp bridged and it cranks like hell enough to be heard 2 - 3 blocks away
but i still want it louder (Dont we all)

I just want something that will make it hit nice and hard im not worried bout getting more subs or anything to break records just loud enough to wake the dead LOL

I have roughly $650 to blow on a half descent amp.

Thnks

hmmmm, not sure on the price of new stuff, but for that price you could get some good mono blocks second hand that would do the job nicely, basically, for pure bass, use a monoblock, they are designed to put out huge amounts of low end power

Get an alpine d class M500 for $799.00 and you wont regret it. they are the worlds only true D class amplifier. theyproduce 500wrms into one channel at 2ohm.... normally their birth certificates say around about 600 though

otherwise look at an M300 for only $499.00, around 400wrms into one.
