A guy did 169 off around a dozen pairs of 6x9's, but he had a dozen Zapco 9.0's too.
Dunno about no woofer class, its not a dB Drag class, and I haven't seen many other big leagues offer it, seems mainly to be an unofficial 'fun' event at comps.

i think for the purpose of db drags anything over 6.5" is classed as a woofer (can't remember the rule that says this though).

that would stuff up anyone who has 8" splits then
plus they would be breaking a few DB drag rules...

here's the rule
2-1 The dBDRA considers speakers with maximum diameters of 8 inches or larger to be woofers.
I guess it's at the judges discretion whether 8inch splits count as woofers.

it's not at the judges discretion.
unfortuneatley alot of rules aren't enforced in Australia that should be.
this is one of them.

but if the fronts are disconnected for burps doesnt it matter??
or even if its faded back does it matter?
so teh official concensus is that a no woofer class is not recognised by termpro?

it doesn't matter if the woofers are disconnected or faded out. if they are in the car they count. here are a couple more rules from dbDRA
2-2 All of the woofers in a vehicle (8 inches and larger) will be counted when determining what class a competitor should compete in, even if the woofers in question are not operational.
2-3 “Token” woofers are strictly prohibited. If a competitor has installed woofers in such a manner as to circumvent the competitor classification system, the competitor may be re-classified or disqualified at the sole discretion of the head judge.
All the rules for dB drags are available

rule 2-3 is expressedly targetted at people who add extra woofers so they go from S1-2 to S3-4 (for example)
because S3-4 is less competitive on teh day.
it seems to condratict rule 2-2 somewhat
as 2-2 says all woofers 8" or over will be counted regardless of whether or not they are in use..
and 2-3 says you can't have token woofers
and my understand of "token" is a woofer that does nothing, or very little (i.e. FS 8" woofer)

There were some examples that i chopped out of those rules. the example for token woofers was that you just sat 2 woofers on your back seat not connected to put you in a 4 woofer class.
I guess the rules seem a little bit ambiguous but I reckon they are just trying to cover every base for people who try to bend the rules.
