I've been playing with designs on WinISD alot latetly and it seems impossible to make a viable box really.... the sucess of the band-pass boxes in Tapani Haapamaki's world record s1-2 install is due to his note which apparently is 79-80hz (which is quite suspect for a street car).
Playing with WinISD to get the same amount of gain u can at 80hz with a 130L you need around 500L of box to get the same at 50hz.... so really if your note isn't in the high 70's its not real viable unless u have huge amounts of box area.... I would still love to try building one though

i have one that is planned, but i just haven't gotten around to making it, yet!
don't resonant freq double? eg. if you car resonants at 40hz, then you'll hit again at 80hz... hmm...
all i can say is good luck, practice makes perfect...

earthquake give excellent info with their subs for bandpass , both 5th and 7th order, isobaric, sealed and ported. me built one for a single twelve years ago. took up the whole back seat of an EA falcon. huuuuuge MoFo. but it rattled the beejeesus out of that car. if you want to talk to the owner, email him @
dallasv8@hotmail.com and ask him. me tried heeeaaaps of boxes, but bandpass is waaaaaaay too big. huh, says me with a panelvan. lol.

I've seen an SPL attempt at a duel 4th Order BP. Two Crossfire BMF 15"s crammed into a pre-fab.. you know the ones with the window in the front.
Powered by Jaycar's 2x 150 it got a huge 130dB.. the owner was rather dis-appointed.
